Phil McCausland, PhD'02, and a team of Western researchers' recent scientific scavenger hunt in Grimsby, Ontario has produced three golf ball-sized fragments of meterorite. (more)


Patrick Deane, PhD'86, named McMaster's next president
Western alumnus and current vice-principal academic at Queen's University, Patrick Deane, was named as the next president of Hamilton's McMaster University on October 15. (more)

Western unveils $5M biofuels facility
The University of Western Ontario has opened a new $5-million biofuel facility and unveiled the first sale of a university-developed harvester that turns agricultural byproducts into a material for creating fuels, chemicals and fertilizers. (more)
