Randy Lai, BA'93
Randy Lai, BA'93 (Economics) was the 2012 recipient of Western's Young Alumni Award - Hong Kong.
A 14-year McDonald’s veteran, and the first female Managing Director nurtured in the Hong Kong market, Ms. Lai has dedicated countless hours to the training and career development of staff, as well as fostering a positive workplace culture.
She was named CEO of the Year 2012 in the Asia Pacific Customer Relationship Excellence Awards as was also awarded the Marketer of the Year and the Distinguished Marketer in 2006 from the acclaimed Hong Kong Management Association/ TVB Awards.
Aside from her keen business mindset, she is also passionate above giving back to her community. As a Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities HK, she championed brand building and fundraising activities, and launched the “Part of Me, Part of My Community” Campaign to help build public awareness as well as raise funds.
Ms. Lai also encourages and supports her staff to contribute their time to community work within office hours.
